Me myself as a future leader

At my school we had a leadership conference day. The leadership conference is about our school from a another campus’s was here at our school and we did activities that we an work together as a team. I was part of the grey team.

The first thing activity we did was the newspaper tower. So what you had to do is build the tallest newspaper tower but it has to stay by there self. Ares was the tallest it was taller than me but it wasn’t stable and it fall down. We were disappointed but we still worked together. At the start before the activities we didn’t know everyone well but when we did the activity we worked really well together.

Me as a leader I’ve learnt about leaders don’t have a title or a poison it is about action. I want to become a strong growing and a kind leader. I want to grow and always remember this memory. In the future i want to tell myself that leaders are not about having a badge. In fact i have a quote that our school users every year at out leadership assembly. As leaders we will remember leadership is about action not position and we will lead by example in all that we do.

The second activity was the tallest cup tower. Basically it was about making the tallest tower but you can’t use any part of your body. What my group did was we got some string and rubber band we had two rubber bands one to tie the string to the rubber band then attach the string to the chair. The second thing we did is with the second rubber band put it on the cup lift it up and wriggle the cup so it is on the rubber band.

Have you ever done these activities before if you had tell me in the comments?

Hard Road Ahead

When I went to Sovereign hill we went to the Wesleyan school and i had to wear a dress with pantalets, apron and a cape which is not like the uniform i wear today. we sat at a wooden desk and learnt how to write with an ink pen.We also did cross stitching and it was very fun. Before we went to the Wesleyan school we walk into a room where we can put our bags and our stuff we also got changed to our costume. We walked to our school and the teacher said silence children.

There were no cars at sovereign Hill and how did we get to one place to an another we had to go on a carriage or walk  to where ever your going. After we got back from Sovereign hill we had to build a diorama my partner Isaac I made the hotel and the tents. The positive learner attribute was Communication to speak and work well together and imagination to work out how we do it.

Have you ever build a diorama for anything?

Term 1 highlights

I had many highlights this term. We went on an excursion to the market. There were lots of food, clothes and art/craft. For APS we did bike riding, swimming and rock climbing. I had a lot of fun doing these. The class novel was called “Out of my mind”. The main character Melody showed amazing resilience and courage given her disability. In this term l made lots of new friends. It was great meeting them and getting to know them.

Our positive learner attribute for this year is resilience which is about perseverance, bouncing back and learning from setbacks. We will be doing things which will show us how to be resilient.

My main goals for next term will be to improve my reading and maths. For APS next term l will be playing netball.

I had lots of fun and learned many new things this term. I’m looking forward to having a break.

What are your goals for next term?

Amal Art

Amal is a girl from Pakistan sadly she is a servent for the land lord.

The cover of the book has many symbols on it which represent Amal’s experiences, hopes and dreams. We created our own front cover with symbols that represent ourselves.

My symbols represent me the rainbow means colour in the sky, the bracelet means friendship, the book means reading,

the scrunchie means gymnastics and sports, the butterfly means animals, the stars and moon mean light.

If you were creating your own, what is a symbol that you would include and what does  it represent?

GRA Amal Unbound

In 4T this term we are so excited to be apart of the global reader aloud. Classes around the world have give us clues of where they live. We are all reading the same book.

The book is called Amal Unbound. It’s about a girl who lives in Pakistan. So far I think it’s unfair that girls can’t go to school.

Have you ever been apart of the Global Read Aloud if you have did you solve our clue?
